Hans Hashimoto - Geigerzähler

About this album

Nobody really knows why people go into the nuclear wastelands. Hans Hashimoto finished his apprenticeship, grabbed a sleeping bag, a Geigerzähler, and two packs of methadone, and just… left. Inside the zone, the crackling of the Geigerzähler was the only thing that made sense. The reactor pulled him like a magnet. The closer he got, the worse the sickness hit, but he pushed on—one pack of methadone to get in, one to get out. In his tumble towards the expericence of undirected release of unfathomable energy he found answers to questions unclear.

For the cover design and layout of Hans Hashimoto's "Geigerzähler", he collaborated with Ganzgar from Basel. The final design highlights the extraordinary potential of multilayered macro photography.
