It is a double EP by Hyderabad-based experimental electronic act Somnium Monkey.

Somnium Monkey’s debut split cassette on ONNO brings together two deeply connected
EPs: Vettam വെ ട്ടം and Butterfly Effect. Vettam erupts through chaotic, distorted rhythms and abrasive textures, charged with grit and psychedelic density. The Malayalam word “Vettam,” meaning “light,” becomes a metaphor for seeking clarity within dissonance.

In contrast, Butterfly Effect unfolds as a sci-fi-tinged meditation on time and memory.
Layered, hypnotic, and dreamlike, it drifts through imagined timelines like the score to an
unwritten novel. Together, Vettam and Butterfly Effect trace a cycle of tension and release — a haunting elegy shaped by fragility and emotional dislocation, set against the collapse of ecology and time.
