This album sounds like a memory of summer: the feeling of the sun, the freedom of a joyride, and the taste of a cold drink by the beach.

about this album

Copper Changes Color is the fifth studio album from the Ohio-based folk-rock band Caamp, released on June 6, 2025. It presents a refined and expansive chapter in their sound, weaving themes of growth, love, and introspection around the powerful metaphor of copper's natural patina.

The album was written, performed, and produced by the band over two years. They collaborated with GRAMMY-winning engineers Beatriz Artola (Fleet Foxes, Sharon Van Etten) and Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, R.E.M.). Recording took place in several prestigious studios across the United States, including Sonic Ranch in Texas, Sear Sound in New York City, and Flora Recording in Portland, Oregon.
