Schall Formen explores the interplay between acoustic sounds and live electronic modulation. The duo examines the blurred lines separating these two domains: acoustic instruments are captured with microphones, merged with analog drum machine rhythms, and shaped in real time through a mixing console using interacting delay lines, entangled feedback loops, and precise equalizer tweaks. Their process rejects computers, DAWs, and software, relying solely on raw sound and electric current.

This approach yields a sonic aesthetic both rugged and detailed, weaving together elements of jazz, dub, ambient, and the clicks and cuts genre.

Their album In Echtzeit presents two rare live recordings from early 2023. The A side documents their performance at the closing of the Bricolage art exhibition at Kunstmuseum Solothurn, while the B side preserves their set from Anstadt Bern, where they played for the event Liegen im Vakuum.
